Two days after giving birth to her third son, Renee arrived at the Stevenson Memorial Hospital (SMH) Emergency Department on New Year’s Eve 2018, fighting a high fever.
Suspecting an infection, Dr. Iraji ordered blood work and administered intravenous antibiotics. Renee was about to be discharged, when her fever mysteriously spiked again.
“Dr. Iraji made the decision to keep me and I am so grateful. If she had not done this, my story could have been very different.”
