Because of You, We Can.

9th Annual Alliston & District Sportsmen’s Club Event

Thursday, August 9 to 12, 2018

This year’s Annual Event will be held in August in support of Transforming Stevenson Campaign, and all donations to the event will be generously matched by the ADSC Sportsmen’s Club (up to a max of $7,000). Your gift of support will go a long way to helping us reach our goals of an expanded and revitalized facility, updated technology, and the ability to replace critical equipment. Donations made online of $20+ will receive an electronic tax receipt.
The Alliston & District Sportsmen’s Club is a long-time supporter of Stevenson and has contributed in total $20,400 from the annual event through registration fees, merchandise sales, and donations from the Club and participants. The Club also provides scholarships to students of the local high schools and has also directly supported a number of local families.
“We are so grateful to the Alliston & District Sportsmen’s Club and to organizer, Allman Vieira, for organizing this unique event. Support from our community is essential in helping to transform Stevenson and their vision of setting a new standard for community hospital care.” Commented Tanya Wall, Executive Director, Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Stevenson Memorial Hospital, in close collaboration with Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation, has begun to prepare for the redevelopment of our hospital. Yet, while we work toward redevelopment, we must continue to raise the annual funds required to provide our caregivers with the lifesaving equipment they require to take care of you and your loved ones. In addition, the Foundation is supporting the hospital in achieving the implementation of a transformative technology; the Health Information System (HIS). Transforming the way that Stevenson delivers patient care, and giving medical professionals improved access to patient medical data in real time, while supporting faster diagnosis and treatment.
Many people do not realize that while the provincial government funds the operations of hospitals, it does not fund most of the new equipment required. The Foundation has an ongoing need to raise at least $1 million to fund the purchase of capital equipment every year. With your support, we can replace vital equipment and introduce new technologies to deliver safe, high-quality health care for our community. Equipment that will be purchased this year, includes life-saving items such as a new defibrillator and fetal heart monitor for Obstetrics, Emergency Room stretchers and ultrasound, and a surgical fluid management system.
