Alliston and Angus McDonald’s Reach $200,000 in Support of the Because of YOU Campaign
[New Tecumseth, ON – July 24, 2025] – The Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF) is proud to announce the outstanding contributions from this year’s McHappy Day, held on May 8, 2025, at the Alliston and Angus McDonald’s locations, totaling $12,500. This significant donation highlights the ongoing dedication of our local Alliston and Angus McDonald’s franchisees and generous community to elevating healthcare in our region.
In addition to this, SMHF received an extra $14,000 during the recent Because of YOU relaunch event, further strengthening our partnership and commitment to hospital redevelopment efforts. Together, these generous gifts bring the total contributions from MacKinnon Restaurants (McDonald’s Alliston and Angus) to an impressive $200,000 to the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation.

The Because of You campaign is a bold and ambitious effort to raise funds through community support to help build the future of Stevenson Memorial Hospital. This transformational project will triple the size of our hospital, providing expanded emergency care and advanced diagnostic imaging, including Stevenson’s first MRI suite, modern inpatient facilities, and specialized surgical services, all designed to meet the evolving healthcare needs of our growing community. As we approach our 100th anniversary in 2028, we stand on the threshold of a new era, just as our founders did nearly a century ago.
