Town of New Tecumseth's $750,000 Contribution Strengthens Community Investment in New Stevenson Memorial Hospital
ALLISTON, ON — The Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation is proud to recognize the Town of New Tecumseth for its generous $750,000 contribution to the Because of YOU Campaign, helping bring the community one step closer to a new, state-of-the-art Stevenson Memorial Hospital.
Approved by Town Council in April 2026, the contribution fulfills the Town's longstanding commitment to support the hospital redevelopment project. Since first pledging its support in 2019, the Town has remained a dedicated partner in helping ensure local residents have access to exceptional healthcare close to home.
“On behalf of New Tecumseth and Council, it was a pleasure to pledge $750,000 to the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation to support Stevenson’s historic redevelopment project,” said Mayor Richard Norcross. “Thanks to the generosity of the Morningview Foundation, our contribution will be effectively doubled in value, helping to deliver the future of world-class healthcare at the new Stevenson Memorial Hospital to better serve New Tecumseth residents and surrounding communities for decades to come.”

The new Stevenson Memorial Hospital will nearly double the size of the current facility, expanding access to healthcare services and creating modern spaces designed to meet the growing needs of the communities it serves. As construction progresses, community support remains essential to ensuring the hospital is equipped with the technology and equipment needed to provide exceptional patient care.
