Wray’s Pharmacy in Alliston provides $13,000 donation to Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation’s Capital Campaign

The Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF) is pleased to announce that Wray’s Pharmacy – Guardian Pharmacy in Alliston has donated a total of $13,000 in in support of the Because of you, we can Capital Campaign.

“We are pleased and honoured to contribute to this very important campaign for our community Hospital,” says Randy Greenman, Wray’s Pharmacy – Guardian Pharmacy owner. “I know how much they mean to our community; the excellent service they provide to so many but also the support that’s needed. As our population continues to grow, our Hospital remains the same. It’s time that Stevenson gets the redevelopment that they deserve.”

SMHF staff were thrilled to celebrate the lasting partnership between Wray’s Pharmacy and Stevenson Memorial Hospital (SMH).

“We are so thankful for the support of Wray’s Pharmacy as we fundraise for the largest campaign in our history,” Tanya Wall, Executive Director, SMHF. “It’s going to take everyone to help us reach our goal, and we thank local businesses such as Wray’s Pharmacy who have supported us and made a contribution during this challenging year.”

In October, 2019 the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation launched a $43 million Capital Campaign, Because of you, we can, in support of the Hospital’s redevelopment project, as well as critical equipment and technology upgrades. Of their goal, $30 million represents the community share of the funds required to be raised for the $167 million project. The Hospital relies on the support of the community for enhancements to infrastructure, equipment and technology, as the government does not provide annual funding for these critical needs.

SMH’s redevelopment project includes a revitalized Emergency Department, doubling the square footage of the Hospital and tripling the amount of parking space. Refreshed outpatient rooms, birthing suites and laboratory space are also included in the plans.
