Brian & Kathy Gibson Launch $1 Million “Building Your Stevenson for Tomorrow, Together” Match Initiative to Support Stevenson Memorial Hospital Redevelopment
[New Tecumseth, Ontario, September 12, 2024] – Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF) is thrilled to announce a generous $1 million matching gift from Brian and Kathy Gibson, long-time supporters of the Foundation. This extraordinary contribution will double the impact of every new donation toward the hospital’s much-needed redevelopment, starting September 1, 2024.
The “Building Your Stevenson for Tomorrow, Together” $1 million matching gift is a testament to Brian and Kathy Gibson’s unwavering commitment to the community. “For generations, Brian and Kathy Gibson’s family have been at the forefront of supporting Stevenson Memorial Hospital,” said Frank Cerisano, CEO of SMHF. “Their incredible generosity will help to ignite the community and surrounding area in supporting this transformative redevelopment project, ensuring that our hospital can continue to provide exceptional care for years to come.”

Donations received through the “Building Your Stevenson for Tomorrow, Together” $1 million matching gift will help purchase essential equipment, upgrade technology, and complete critical renovations essential to the transformation of Stevenson Memorial Hospital. The hospital’s redevelopment plan includes a new Emergency Department that will triple in size. With an Emergency Department built to manage 7,000 visits a year that has managed up to almost 40,000 per year, along with a growing population in South Simcoe and surrounding communities, this redevelopment is needed today and for future generations.
