Canadian Tire Alliston’s “Topple the Toffifee Tower” Campaign Raises $5,000 in Support of Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation’s Because of You, We Can Campaign

[New Tecumseth, ON – January 3, 2025] – The Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF) is delighted to announce a generous $5,000 donation from Canadian Tire Alliston, showcasing their ongoing dedication to supporting the local community. Thanks to Brian and Kathy Gibson, this generous donation from Canadian Tire Alliston will be doubled through their “Building Your Stevenson for Tomorrow, Together” matching gift campaign, maximizing its impact in supporting the Stevenson Memorial Hospital’s efforts to enhance healthcare services for the community.

As part of their annual holiday tradition, Canadian Tire Alliston has once again leveraged the success of their festive Toffifee sales to give back. Once again, this year’s initiative, “Topple the Toffifee Tower,” successfully united the community, resulting in the remarkable sale of 2,300 boxes of Toffifee.

“We are deeply thankful for the continued support of Canadian Tire Alliston,” said Frank Cerisano, CEO of SMHF. “Their unwavering commitment to our hospital and the community we serve is truly extraordinary. This $5,000 donation will be vital in advancing our efforts to enhance healthcare services for residents across the region.”

Canadian Tire Alliston’s steadfast dedication to making a meaningful difference exemplifies its strong connection to the community. The Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation thanks Canadian Tire and its loyal customers for their generosity and enduring support.

The Because of You, We Can campaign is designed to raise essential funds to help purchase critical equipment, upgrade technology, and advance construction plans for Stevenson Memorial Hospital’s new build.  The hospital’s plan includes a new Emergency Department that will triple in size. With an Emergency Department built to manage 7,000 visits a year that has managed up to almost 35,000 per year and a growing population in South Simcoe and surrounding communities, this new build is needed for today and future generations.
