Stevenson Farms’ continues supporting healthcare legacy and raises $6,600 for SMH
The Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF) is pleased to announce that Stevenson Farms B&B and Harvest Spa has donated a total of $6,600 in support of the Hospital and the Because of you, we can Capital Campaign.
“We are so happy to have raised $6,600 for Stevenson Memorial Hospital from our Macallan scotch dinner and live art fundraising event. Our special thanks to all the artists, donors, and participants who made it possible. We hope to encourage our community to continue to support SMH, as we need our frontline workers and our Hospital to be strong now and into the future,” Stephen & Susanne Milne, Owners, Stevenson Farms B&B and Harvest Spa.
The Stevenson Farms Macallan Scotch dinner was a wonderful night, where guests enjoyed a gourmet three course dinner, five Macallan Scotch samples presented by brand ambassador Cameron Millar, live painting, and a silent auction donated by local businesses – all while safely outdoors in a heated tent and socially distanced. Special guest star, the HGTV’s talented host Paul Lafrance, was the evening’s entertaining Emcee and Auctioneer.

In 1832, William Stevenson and his young wife Elizabeth Pringle settled in the area, now called Alliston. Their original log home was replaced and then renovated in 1927 by their illustrious grandson, Theodore Loblaw; the founder of the Loblaw grocery chain. Stevenson Farms became a seasonal family retreat for Loblaw. In 1928, with support from T.P. Loblaw, F.K. Morrow, and other prominent leaders from the area, the first Stevenson Memorial Hospital was born. The original Stevenson farmhouse has since passed down through the family to its current owners, Stephen and Susanne Milne. Stephen is the thrice great grandson of the Stevensons; who to this day, continues his family’s work as a pillar in our community and champion of local healthcare. In October 2019, the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation launched a $43 million Capital Campaign, Because of you, we can, in support of the Hospital’s redevelopment project, as well as critical equipment and technology upgrades.
