A Taxing Situation Makes a Generous $25,000 Gift to the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation

[New Tecumseth, ON – September 7, 2021] – The Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF) is celebrating the commitment of A Taxing Situation, after receiving a $25,000 gift. Their donation has supported the most urgent needs of our community Hospital.

This kind of support is critical as the demand on Stevenson Memorial Hospital (SMH) due to expanding populations, as well as the additional needs of the pandemic, have put immense pressure on this essential resource.

A Taxing Situation has generously supported the “Because of you, we can” Capital Campaign – the largest and most significant campaign in the Foundation’s history. The current Hospital was built in 1964 to serve 7,000 people a year in the Emergency Department, but fast forward to today and the same Emergency Department now serves close to 40,000 people annually.

Rob Katzman of A Taxing Situation is challenging everyone in the community to consider making their own commitment to this historic campaign, which will improve health care for South Simcoe.

“A Taxing Situation’s support of Stevenson Memorial Hospital is a testament to their dedication to building a healthy, vibrant community for residents of New Tecumseth, and surrounding areas,” says Melody McLean, Director of Development & Campaign Manager, SMHF. “We are grateful for their generous gift of $25,000.”

“We, at A Taxing Situation, are so grateful to have been supported by our community, and we believe strongly in giving back. Without Stevenson Memorial Hospital we would not have quality health care close to home” says Rob Katzman, Owner and Tax Preparation Specialist, A Taxing Situation.
