Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation is Grateful for $9,500 Donation from Alliston & Angus McDonald’s McHappy Day Strengthening Community Healthcare
[New Tecumseth, ON – June 5, 2023] – We are pleased to share that McDonald’s in Alliston and Angus has gifted $9,500 from McHappy Day, May 10, 2023, to support Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF).
The generous contributions made by this community event will impact Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation’s efforts to provide essential resources and continue to provide quality healthcare.

The success of this fundraising event demonstrates the power of community engagement and highlights the commitment to ensuring quality healthcare close to home.”
“We want to thank SMHF and other community volunteers for their amazing support on McHappy Day,” expressed Rory MacKinnon, Owner/Operator of MacKinnon Restaurants Inc. “With 100 percent of the sales from all menu items being donated, it truly was an amazing day. We raised a record amount of funds not only for SMHF but for some very deserving local children and family charities.”
The $43 million, Because of you, we can Campaign is the largest campaign in SMHF’s history. Donations received help purchase essential equipment, upgrade technology, and complete critical renovations essential to the transformation and redevelopment of Stevenson Memorial Hospital. The hospital’s redevelopment plan includes a new Emergency Department that will triple in size. With an Emergency Department built to manage 7,000 visits a year that currently manages close to 40,000 per year, along with a growing population in south Simcoe and surrounding communities, this redevelopment is needed today and for future generations.
