The Nottawasaga Foundation Advances Stevenson Memorial Hospital’s “Because of You, We Can” Campaign with a $100,000 Contribution
[New Tecumseth – September 25, 2024] – The Nottawasaga Foundation continues demonstrating its unwavering support for the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF) by delivering the eighth installment of $100,000 toward their $1 million commitment.
This remarkable pledge, made to celebrate the Nottawasaga Foundation’s 25th Anniversary in 2017, supports the hospital’s “Because of you, we can” Campaign. This funding will contribute to the much-needed redevelopment project and help meet critical equipment and technology needs.
“We are honored to fulfill our annual commitment of $100,000 as part of our $1 million pledge. Supporting Stevenson’s redevelopment, equipment, and technology requirements aligns with our mission to enhance healthcare services in our community,” said a representative from The Nottawasaga Foundation.
The Biffis Family and The Nottawasaga Foundation have been steadfast supporters of Stevenson Memorial Hospital for many years. They have notable involvement in critical projects such as introducing digital mammography services and supporting the Obstetrics/Birthing Unit. Their dedication to advancing healthcare within the community has been invaluable.
“Thank you to the Nottawasaga Foundation and the Biffis Family for their continued support,” said Barbara Steed, Interim President and CEO of Stevenson Memorial Hospital. “Their generous contributions are vital to the success of our redevelopment project, which will transform our hospital and help ensure we can meet the growing healthcare needs of our community.”
Frank Cerisano, CEO of SMHF, added, “The Nottawasaga Foundation and the Biffis Family have once again demonstrated their leadership and commitment to our cause. Their ongoing support is a cornerstone of our fundraising efforts and helps ensure quality healthcare remains accessible to all community members.”
The Because of You, We Can Campaign is the largest campaign in SMHF’s history. Donations received help purchase essential equipment, upgrade technology, and complete critical renovations essential to the transformation and redevelopment of Stevenson Memorial Hospital. The hospital’s redevelopment plan includes a new Emergency Department that will triple in size. With an Emergency Department built to manage 7,000 visits a year that has managed up to almost 40,000 per year, along with a growing population in South Simcoe and surrounding communities, this redevelopment is needed today and for future generations.
